Our Work
We accelerate scientific understanding of bipolar disorder and advance clinical care through cross-disciplinary collaboration, data sharing, and real-time learning.

BD² programs are designed to share data, methods, and resources with the bipolar disorder research community. BD²’s commitment to open science invites researchers to access and expand upon new findings, catalyzing the process of discovery.
BD² Integrated Network
In partnership with clinicians, researchers, and people with bipolar disorder, the BD² Integrated Network is a system that supports continual advancement in understanding and improvements in care.
Discovery Research
BD² Discovery Research is the cornerstone of our hypothesis-driven, cross-disciplinary program to improve understanding of the biological mechanisms of bipolar disorder.
Brain Omics Platform
The Brain Omics Platform will provide state-of-the-art multi omics to understand neural and non-neural changes in bipolar disorder on a molecular scale.
Genetics Platform
The Genetics Platform will close a fundamental gap in science’s understanding of the genetic mechanisms of bipolar disorder.

Collaboration Projects
BD² Collaboration Projects provide teams across programs with additional funding to promote data and resource sharing, as well as accelerate new findings.
